Spring race season begins
When the snow finally clears, team SCE takes to the roads, and already we seem to be on the verge of race season! Ben Stephens was the first to represent our team as well as Carnegie Mellon at the Philly Phlyer collegiate race over March 20-21 weekend. On March 27, Jim and PG traveled to East Earl, PA for the Union Grove road race.
Meanwhile, back near home, the team enjoyed a great pre-race ride with our friend, JR Petsko, down in Morgantown, West Virginia. We had a blast riding with JR and the Shogrens, and other biking friends, up and down the hills of Morgantown. The West Virginia races, presented by the Appalachian Bicycle Racing Association, always promises to be a fantastic series of hill climbing and searing descents.
So next Saturday will bring the Morgantown Road Race. Stay tuned, because as the rest of the team kits up for the first road race of the season, we’ll be updating our team website with news and race reports in the weeks to come!
